Sunday schooled

Sunday schooled

Today I learned a lesson. It came out of the blue. It felt like I was ambushed. I hadn’t a clue. No rhyme or reason. I was quite surprised. Seems I’m out of season. Only heaven knows why.

It could be a good thing. It could be the best thing. It could be amazing, nobody knows!

Today I found religion. In a comical sense. It wasn’t quite literal. In my self defense. I had to play a lawyer. When I needed a priest. I might need a doctor. To get me back on my feet.

I was Sunday schooled

She broke all the rules

I will play the fool

‘Cause that’s what I do

Sunday schooled

Long before noon

Now I’m seein’ stars

From falling off the moon
