‘Must have’ neutral cards: Goblins vs Gnomes edition

The Goblins vs Gnomes expansion has been out for a little while now. This gave me the chance to get some cards and see how they work. I did a write up on the class cards, so now it is time for the neutral cards. Let’s see what we got.

In case you haven’t heard, GvG added a new category of minions called Mechanicals. In addition, they made some old favorites Mechs as well. Much like the Deathrattles that Naxxramas brought us over the summer, it’s a whole new meta game.

Micro Machine– A 2 mana Mech that starts out as 1/2 but adds 1 attack at the beginning of every turn. Which means, if left unchecked, it will be 3/2 on your next turn. If anything, this guy will garner the attention of your enemy. If you happen to put it out on turn 1 with the coin, it could catch your opponent in a bad spot.

Stonesplinter Trogg– Little brother to the Burly Rockjaw Trogg. A 2/3 minion that gains +2 attack every time your opponent casts a spell. Pretty tough for 2 mana.

Flying Machine– More so with classes you can buff them up or in straight Mech decks, this 1/4 Mech has Windfury. It’s 3 mana cost means you can combo it with other cards nicely. I like putting in in my priest buff deck. I’m evil like that.

Hobgoblin– This is an epic card, so you have to be lucky or craft it. A 3/3 minion that gives every 1 attack minion 2/2 when you play it. It’s almost a must-craft.

Burly Rockjaw Trogg– This 3/5 minion is a sleeping giant. Especially if your opponent is spell heavy. It adds +2 attack every time they cast a spell. At 4 mana, that’s not too bad.

Jeeves- A 1/4 Mech that draws cards until each player has 3. This happens at the end of each player’s turn.

Piloted Shredder– This little guy is all upside. A 4/3 Mech for 4 mana that has a Deathrattle: Summon a random 2 cost minion. First of all, it is in that “4 sweet-spot”, while the minion it summons is random, there are some pretty bad ass 2-cost minions!

Bomb Lobber– A 3/3 minion that deals 4 damage to a random enemy minion. Pretty devastating for 5 mana. Especially if your opponent only has 1 minion. (which happens to me. All. The. Time!
