Card(s) of the week: Minions with Inspire

I chose a few cards this week because the Tavern Brawl: “Who’s the Boss Now?”, centers around your hero power. The Inspire mechanic does too!

I am the boss!

Be the Boss!

The Grand Tournament expansion brought us some interesting cards. Some with the Inspire mechanic. I’m going to highlight a few that I think will be pretty powerful with this weeks brawl:

Boneguard lieutenant– A 3/2 minion that gains +1 health when you use your hero power. A Great card to open with to enforce or just beat on your opponent.

Dragonhawk Rider– This 3/3 minion get’s Windfury for each turn you use your hero power in.

Fencing coach– A 2/2 minion that makes your hero power cost (2) less, the next time you use it.

Saboteur– This 4/3 minion works really great, especially with the “Who’s the Boss Now?” brawl. When played, it makes your opponent’s hero power cost (5) more.

Maiden of the lake– A 2/6 minion that lowers the cost of your hero power by (1). This is huge with this week’s Tavern Brawl. Especially since you apparently can use it as many times as long as you have mana.

Kvaldir Raider– For 5 mana you get a 4/4 minion that gains +2/+2 every time you use your hero power. A potentially devastating minion.

Mukla’s Champion– A 4/3 minion that gives your other minions +1/+1 every time you use your hero power.

Kodorider– This 3/5 minion summons a 3/5 Kodo when you use your hero power.

Depending on what class you are playing, you might have some more cool options.

At first I didn’t understand why my opponents kept playing Maiden. Then I realized that you can keep using the new hero powers as long as you have mana. So good in this brawl.
