The League of Explorers Unlocked: Uldaman

The League of Explorers 2nd wing: Uldaman was unlocked last Thursday, and I finally scraped up the gold to purchase it. So here it is, in all it’s glory!

Uldaman

First up is Chieftain Scarvash and his wonderful hero power: Enemy minions cost (2) more. Oh, don’t worry, it’s passive and it changes next turn. Enemy spells cost (2) more. Yep. That’s not all, this guy has a Secret he is just bursting to hit you with. He’s a real pain.

Chieftain Scarvash

Chieftain Scarvash is a real pain.

You may notice, I had to change decks. You might have to as well.

Scarvash down

Tunnel Trogg Reward- 1/3 Shaman minion with some upside: Whenever you Overload, gain +1 attack per locked mana crystal.

Tunnerl Trogg Reward

Ethereal Conjurer- Is a 6/3 mage minion with a Battlecry: Discover a spell. Doesn’t seem fair. Mages get all the good cards. Good thing I love my mage deck!

Ethereal Conjurer

Escape the Mine Cart: It’s a lot like Temple Escape only different. Every card you get is 1 mana, but you always have 2 mana. No more. No less. Your hero power is: Do 3 damage to a random enemy. Doesn’t help much when the board is full of bad guys.

Don’t get shafted.

All things come to an end; this too shall pass.

I didn’t get shafted–this time.

Unearthed Raptor is a 3/4 rogue minion with a Battlecry: Choose a friendly minion and gain a copy of it’s Deathrattle Effect. My immediate thought is: Sylvanas, but I’m sure there are other wicked things to copy.

Tomb Spider- This 3/3 Beast is a neutral minion with a Battlecry: Discover a Beast. Not as flashy as the Piloted Shredder, but in hunter and possibly druid decks, a very good card.

Archaedas- This encounter can be really easy if you play a buff deck. It was still pretty easy. Buff away!

Archaedas

Boom. Clap. The sound of my heart…OK, OK, I’ll spare you the rest.

Archaedas Down

Looks like warriors get a monkey to play with. This 3/4 Beast minion has Taunt.

Fierce Monkey Reward

Reliquary Seeker- Is a 1/1 warlock minion with a Battlecry: If you have 6 other minions, gain +4/+4. A lot of possibilities here. This minion will fit nicely in my current warlock deck. Thanks Blizzard!

Reliquary Seeker

Defeating Uldaman unlocks Brann Bronzebeard- a 2/4 legendary that triggers your Battlecries twice. I cannot express how extremely powerful this card can be.

Brann Bronzebeard Unlocked

Excavated Evil is the second reward for defeating Uldaman. This 5 mana spell deals 3 damage to all minions then gets shuffled into your opponents deck. The gift that keeps on giving!

Excavated Evil Unlocked

Defeating Uldaman also unlocks the Druid and Paladin Class Challenges.

Class Challenges Unlocked

You square off vs Chieftain Scarvash with a premade druid deck. It’s pretty fun. There are some nice cards in the deck.

Druid class challenge

Upon defeating the Chiefy, you are rewarded with the Mounted Raptor: a 3/2 Beast with a Deathrattle: Summon a random 1-cost minion. Not too bad.

Archaedas is your paladin class challenge. You get a deck full of neat cards to work with. As you can see, it was a cake walk.

Paladin class challenge defeated

Keeper of Uldaman is a 3/4 paladin minion with a Battlecry: Set a minions attack and health to 3. Not terribly flashy. For 4 mana, I think I can find better options.

Keeper of Uldaman Reward

That wraps up the Uldaman wing of The League of Explorers. Hope you had a lot of fun. I will be back as soon as I can scrape up another 700g! Godspeed!
