Card of the week: Common cards to craft for Whispers of the Old Gods

Card of the week is back with a vengeance. I had so many ideas for this, but I have been slacking off lately. Please enjoy!

Whispers of the Old Gods.

Class Cards:

Dark Arakkoa– This 5/7 Druid minion with Taunt is pretty solid. In addition to that, it buffs your C’Thun if you are playing that type of deck. A must have for 40 dusts.

On the hunt– This Hunter spell does 1 point of damage and puts a 1/1 Mastiff on your board. It has beast and spell synergy. It can give that 1 point of damage you might need with Hunter’s Mark. It’s very versatile.

Stand Against Darkness– Not a great spell on it’s own, this Paladin spell summons 5 1/1 Silver Hand recruits. If you are playing Sword of Justice/Rallying Blade, or Warhorse Trainer, than this spell is a must. Also pretty good with Knife Juggler.

Southsea Squidface– If you are playing a Rogue, you should probably have this card in your deck. A 4/4 minion with a Deathrattle: add +2 to your weapon. Even if you are not running a Pirate, or Deathrattle deck, you still have a 4/4 minion that will buff your weapon.

Darkshire Councilman– Warlocks lost a good one in Mistress of Pain, but they picked up a real winner with this common minion. For 3 mana you get a 1/5 minion that gets +1 attack for every minion summoned. Fits marvelously into your Zoo/aggro decks.

Bloodhoof Brave– At face value, this is a 2/6 Warrior minion with Taunt. It has an enrage bonus of +3 attack when damaged. Not too shabby for a common card.

Neutral minions:

Bilefin Tidehunter– It’s a Murloc with a buddy! That’s right! This 2/1 minion spawns a 1/1 Ooze with Taunt. Works great in Aggro decks, Murloc decks, and those pesky decks that benefit from summoning minions/playing cards.

Twilight Elder– This 3/4 minion (buff your C’Thun +1/+1 at the end of your turn ) is much more useful if you are running a C’Thun deck. It’s still decent if it get silenced or as a stand alone minion, but if you are running CT, craft 2 of them!

C’Thun’s Chosen– Another great minion if you are running CT, a little less if not. For 4 mana, you get a 4/2 minion with Divine Shield, and a +2/+2 Battlecry that buffs your CT. Must have if you are running CT.

Psych-o-Tron– We lost Annoy-o-Tron, which was everyone’s favorite annoying little Mech, and this is what it was replaced with. A more grown up version. This minion is 3/4 with Divine Shield and Taunt, for the low, low cost of 5 mana. If you order in the next 15 minutes…

That’s it for this installment of Card of the week. Keep your eyes peeled for the rare cards to craft for Whisper of the Old Gods, coming soon!
