This week in Karazhan: Prologue

The next Hearthstone Adventure: One Night in Karazhan launched today. With that the prologue and first wing opened for play. You can purchase the first wing, The Parlor for $6.99 cash, 700g or buy the whole shebang for $19.99 (cash prices USD).

One Night in Karazhan

Let’s get right to the prologue, which everyone can access for free:

Under solo adventures

You access the Adventure by clicking on “Solo Adventures”, click “normal” right under the Karazhan icon and you are good to go!

Medivh vs Malchezaar

The prologue is one fight: Medivh vs Prince Malchezaar. There are some wonderful dialogue boxes to read, so take your time. I don’t believe there is a round timer, so you will have plenty of time for your turn.

Malchezar hero power

Malchezaar has a pretty devastating hero power: Summon a 6/6 Abyssal for the low cost of 2 mana. It might seem overwhelming at first. Both sides start out with 30 health and 30 armor. Medivh’s hero power is: Draw 3 cards for 2 mana. You won’t need it at first but it absolutely comes into play early and often.

Defeat leaves him with 1 health

When you finally get the lethal on Prince Malchezaar, he remains at 1 health. Something to remember for later? It wouldn’t be the first time we had to beat a boss twice!

Victory or maybe not

Even the Victory “toast” isn’t sure we really won.

Enchanted Raven Reward

Enchanted Raven is the first card rewarded. This druid minion is a 2/2 beast for 1 mana. Lots of possibilities.

Firelands Portal Reward

Firelands Portal Reward: This mage card deals 5 damage and summons a random 5-cost minion, all for 7 mana. I think this is a great card, especially if you are running Yogg-Saron.

Envelope

This concludes the prologue portion, stay tuned for The Parlor!
