1st and 5

Week 7 is here and the wheel keeps on spinning. Josh Allen looks to be out 2-3 weeks (elbow) and the Raiders are shopping Amari Cooper, who is in concussion protocol. Just another week in: As the NFL turns!

QB: Mitch Trubisky- Yep. That’s right. After throwing 6 TDs against the Bucs, he threw 3 vs the Dolphins. We can’t ignore it anymore, Mitch is finding his targets, and they are finding the endzone. The Bears have a pretty easy schedule after this week’s tilt vs the Patriots.

RB: Latavius Murray, Vikings- This might be too obvious, but he filled in really nicely for an banged up Dalvin Cook. In fact, he did his best Dalvin Cook impersonation by running for a buck 55 (155) and 2 TDs. The wavier wire is thin, and his upside is too good to ignore. At worst, he’s a stash for a RB who is proving to have durability issues.

WR: Taylor Gabriel, Bears- Trubisky has now shown he can put two weeks together, “Fantasy-wise”. This simply means he can have back to back relevant weeks where you know he’s delivering points. What’s even better is, he is putting the ball in the hands of his very skilled playmakers. This means, Robinson, Gabriel, Burton, and Cohen will all have upticks in value. Gabriel, and probably Cohen are almost matchup proof, which makes them even more valuable.

TE: OJ Howard, Buccaneers- Now that Winston is back in the saddle, it seems both Tampa tight ends are viable options. Especially if yours is on a bye, or sucks.

D/ST: Jets are still out there. Not sexy, but averaging 9.2 points per game. Only owned in 34% of ESPN leagues. Colts are a “streaming*” option, as they are playing Buffalo without the services of Josh Allen.

*streaming simply means you swap out a position based on availability and weekly matchup.
